Birch
The heartwood of Birch is red in color. While it is softer than Red Oak, it has a tighter grain, which makes it very easy to finish. Birch is similar to Cherry in its appearance, as well as in its density and its resistance to abrasion.
Cherry
Cherry wood is moderately heavy, hard, and strong. It finishes well because it machines and sands to an incredible smoothness. The heartwood in Cherry is red in color, and the sapwood is light pink. Components made of Cherry generally consist of approximately 25% sapwood and 75% heartwood.
Flex
Get the beauty of real wood, at a fraction of the cost and finishing time of wood moulding. Our flexible moulding is made of a durable polyurethane material-a strong, long-lasting and cost-effective alternative to wood. Flex moulding is impervious to moisture and resists rot, swelling, and deterioration
Mahogany
Not only one of the most valuable timbers in Africa, this species is also one of the foremost cabinet woods in the world. Mahogany is characterized as having straight to interlocked grain and a medium coarse texture. The wood varies slightly in color from a light reddish brown to a medium red.
Hard Maple
Hard Maple is considered a stain grade and is characterized as dense, and light in color. Hard Maple is a fine textured and close-grained wood that does not require filling.
MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard)
Our high-grade MDF mouldings come primed for easy finishing. MDF is valued for its defect-free composition and highly uniform density that allow it to cut, rout, shape and drill cleanly, holding intricate detail.
Paint Grade
Our paint grade products are manufactured by trimming defects from common grade lumber to make short lengths of clear lumber. These pieces are then glued into longer lengths and manufactured into mouldings. This procedure helps reduce the tendency of the piece to twist or warp.
PFJ (Primed Finger-Jointed)
Our PFJ (primed finger-jointed) products are manufactured the same as our paint-grade products but have an added factory-applied paint primer. Final finishing of PFJ only requires applying a top coat of paint.
Pine
Pine is a wood where the color ranges from dark rich amber to various shades of golden yellow. When Pine is exposed to light it does cause the wood to darken and yellow with time. Pine is softer than Red Oak yet quite dense and strong. The grain of Pine is open and broad with some knots as well.
Polyurethane
Polyurethane moulding is made from high-density polyurethane that won't warp, rot or split. This product will create detailed patterns without the expense of wood. It's lightweight for easy handling, saws like wood, and comes preprimed and ready to paint.
Poplar
Poplar is a favored material by design professionals for its fine texture, softness, and lightweight. The crisp grain lines and rich wood tones readily accept paint and stain, making Polar a perfect wood type for any room.
PVC
PVC is a common, strong but lightweight plastic used in construction. It gives you the look of wood with moisture protection, inside or out. Strong and durable, PVC moulding is easy to cut and installs without chipping, splitting or cracking.
Red Oak
Red Oak is a wood that is known for being very hard, heavy, and strong. However, given its density, it is actually fairly easy to work. Red Oak turns, carves, and bends well. It is also characterized by having excellent sanding and finishing properties, and great stability.
White Oak
White Oak ranges in color from a very light color to a light to dark brown heartwood. White Oak is much harder and heavier than the red oak and is characterized by a mostly straight-grained wood with a medium to coarse texture. White Oak is strong, beautiful, rot-resistant, easy-to-work, and economical and is widely used in cabinet and furniture making.
